The United States Congress, state legislatures and local lawmakers have all enacted laws that require most employers to train all employees on sexual harassment prevention and response. Because managers act on behalf of their employer, they have a special duty to promote a workplace free of sexual harassment, seek to prevent such improper conduct and effectively respond to instances and complaints. This course does not fulfill the specific requirements of any one state, and should not be used as a substitute for state-specific training in a jurisdiction that has a legislative training requirement.
